Startups don’t need accountants who treat them like corporates.

KC Ventures is a startup itself, just over two years old. And last year we grew faster than expected.

New clients coming on board. Existing ones growing alongside us. Processes changing every quarter because what works for one phase of a business doesn’t translate to another.

Here’s what Jen said that stuck with me: the work isn’t typical day-to-day accounting because every founder and business has different needs.
She’s right. It’s hands-on, messy work. But that’s what makes it fun. Our clients are growing with us. When they hit milestones, we feel it too. That’s the whole point.

The Australian startup ecosystem might be sending mixed signals (H1 down 47% YoY, then Q3 bounces back with $1B), but the founders executing right now are the real deal. And we’re right there with them.
